Confirming the a coupon expiry date is time bound and course expiry date ultimately governs access

We just want to confirm something quickly.

  • Example: A coupon code is issued that expires end of July
  • Learner redeems code July 28th for content in a Learning Path
  • The content in the learning path is available to the learner for the duration of whatever is in the course enrollment settings (i.e. if there is no “end date”, the learner can access the material forever)

Is there anywhere else in the platform we set access end dates that I’m not seeing?

Thank you!

Hey @amyvujanich

Is it a redemption/registration code vs coupon? Does the code include any days of access setting for the Learning Path?

If a learner gains access to a LP with a reg/redemption code that specifies a number of days of access for the LP or a fixed expiration date, they do lose access to the courses when the LP access expires. This screenshot shows the example of the content actions that occur.

You’ll need to test, but I expect it would be similar if a user purchased a LP that had a specific number of access days.

Let us know what you find.

Many thanks!
