How a New Platform Streamlines Learning and Monetization

Ensure a member who needs to purchase a certification exam has completed all pre-requisite courses before getting access to the certification exam, as well as provide flexibility to pay for the content in one lump sum, or in stage payments.

The organisation works with a national certification body which oversees all certifications for their industry. It is compulsory that the member completes predetermined courses before they can take the certificate exam.The certification exam needs to be purchased on the 3rd party system so the organization needs to ensure the certification body is kept up to date on what members are eligible to access the certification exam.

Three courses are set up with a quiz and a test in each one. The quiz allows the learner to test their knowledge before taking the test.

A learning path is set up with the three courses, one per milestone, and force linear progress is activated. There are two Learning Path purchase options set up. One is the standard learning path with a cost for all modules. The other is set up as a “Pay as you go” so the learner only pays for the first content item initially and then they can purchase the other courses in the Learning path at a time that suits them best. 

On completion of the Learning Path, a webhook is sent to the Certification Body’s system which sets a flag indicating that the member can access the certification exam.
