Use case: We need a way for our Pano Admins to create pre-set trigger-based learner notifications on ILT content like those available at main school or on a learning path at the Pano level. We create content at the main school, and provision it to the Panos using a tag so the Pano Admins can make copies and customize those copies for their cohorts of learners. Since there isn’t an option to “create a session” on the pushed down content, the copy they make of the ILT becomes its own course, and therefore becomes detached from the learner notification that was set at main school on the course group. Does anyone have a cool trick that would allow our Pano Admins to create/copy and customize ILT content and set up notifications on it that exist in their Pano and not the main school level? This would be a game changer for us.
Hi Chrissie!
While custom Pano Admin roles can ILTs and provision them to specific sublicenses within the Panorama, they can't create automated learner notifications. Would it work for your main site admins to create notifications for those newly created ILTs? As long as the main site admin does not take the ILT and provision it elsewhere, then the notifications will only send to users who are enrolled in that specific ILT.
Let me know what concerns you have if any about this approach.
Many thanks!
Jeanne from your Success Team
Hi Jeanne,
Thank you for your quick response. Having notifications created at the main school wouldn’t work for our model as each individual franchise will create their own ILT courses or make copies of ILTs that we push down to the Panos, making those copies different courses and not sessions of the main course group that was added to the notifications. There wouldn’t be a way for them to add those courses to the notifications once those ILT sessions are created, unless they had us add them in. The ability to allow them to be able to set their own notifications for an ILT at the Pano level would be a game changer for us. If you have any additional ideas, I would love to hear them! Thank you
Chrissie
