What´s the best way to keep track of the instructors that are leading scheduled events, and be able to do meaningful reporting with that data?

I don´t see any built in fields to add this information, and we want to be able to visualize trainer feedback averages and other trends based on the instructor that delivered the training.

Any suggestions?

Hey @alexi

Great question! Typically, when customers want to collect instructor feedback data, they create an ILT event with Pre/Post Learning. When creating the event, choose to enable Pre/Post Learning, which allows you to add content in an event template.

Once content can be added to the event template, you can create a Survey Page and set the completion criteria for the event to require the completion of the pre and post content (with surveys included).

To make reporting easier, you want have a way to tie the sessions to the specific instructors. That could be through using instructor specific SKUs or the author field or source field if you aren't using those for other reasons. You could have some external lookup table to match session IDs to instructors.

Without making extra survey pages, the end of course flyout could be emphasized to attendees for feedback. That is also reportable in a less efficient way, but you can't require that to be filled out and you can't change what the question is.

I recommend you register for Open Sessions and pre-submit any remaining questions you have at least 24 hrs in advance of the session you are attending. This should give our session team the time to prepare to walk through your options live.

Hope this helps — happy learning!

Hi @jeannehurtz , thanks for this.

I attended an office hours this week and was turned onto the Custom Content Session Fields feature which was not enabled in our instance. Having this features enables us to create the trainer field and report on it, so that is the path we´re moving forward with. Thanks again for the response!

Great news @alexi

Happy Learning,

Jeanne
