We have Skip the course detail page when the learner has access on to make the enrollment experience smoother. However, the redirection seems very slow and the details page is still visible for a split second. Is this something that can be improved?

We were thinking of using the External detail link to avoid this.

How do these two features work together? What are some scenarios we might not be thinking of here?

We didn’t use the skip detail page toggle because it does it for everything and we need them to see the detail page for our events to choose an option. We also didn’t want it on for every piece of content.

So, we use the External detail so we have more control over it.

Hi @Eniko Farkas

As Lisa mentioned, External Detail Link is a possible solution. Here is a support article on Building a Detail Page — specifically the Redirecting the Detail Page section. As the article indicates, Conditional Detail Page is behind a feature flag, so if you would like this turned on in your instance or sandbox, please reach out to your Account Executive or us in Success Team success@thoughtindustries.com. You can also start a ticket with Support on this topic.

If you prefer to use the Skip function and want to investigate the slowness and learner experience with our Support Team, please start a ticket.

Many thanks,

Jeanne from TI Scaled Success Team

@Eniko Farkas I am wondering if there is a conflict.  You say don’t show details page, which cut an action from occurring but then you say show them this page instead.  No guarantees if your creating a logic loop.  Try SHOW details page but redirect it. Give this idea a try.
