Question

Better user experience when Pre-requisites incomplete?

Hi all,

We are interested in using pre-requisites for the final module of a learning path. This final module is an assessment which learners have to pass to gain a certification. We would like to restrict access to this assessment module before the mandatory content has been completed.

Not being able to click the button to access the assessment module would be ideal. We find, however, that the experience is as follows:

  • Before enrollment, there is a "Start Learning" button for the Certificate/assessment module

  • When clicking this button, learner is directed to a page that is in a permanent loading loop with the following message popping up: "It looks like you have not met all prerequisites for this content"

  • Clicking the OK button within the message pop-up takes the learner to the home page (out of the Learning path)

Can any of you using pre-requisites share your experience? Is it a similar behavior for you?

Thanks!

Hi @Leslie E

Thank you for joining our Community and engaging with your question. Would you mind sharing a related learning path URL and some screenshots of your configuration and the issue you are experiencing? It seems the final assessment could be in the wrong milestone as we do not see a reason the user can click anything for the final assessment prior to reaching it.

We reached out to you as well through the open thread with your TI account team, so happy to help you expedite a resolution if possible in either channel.

Appreciate your guidance.

Happy Learning!
