What is the difference between the options of Reschedule and Re-Enroll? And what is the reason to choose one over another, and the users experience bwteen all of them.

Hi @grace.filkins

Can you please give me some more context around the question and i there is a specific screen/ config option you are referring to as the answer may differ depending on the feature.

For example. “Reschedule” could mean that a learner who has enrolled in a session of an event is allowed reschedule to attend a different date

Re-enroll could mean that the learner lost access to a piece of content as it had a limited access time period, or it could mean that the learner can purchase a content item again and re-enroll in a new instance of the content.

Let me know and I will provide you with more information

Kind regards

Jon

We have sessions where if a person loses access based on the time constraint of a course that they can re-enroll in another session.

Example: Session 1 (Enrollment and Access Dates are set for a 1 day event).

And we have set Allow Rescheduling, Restart Progress After Re-Enrollment and Allow repurchase since we were not sure how these function with free courses.

Hi @grace.filkins,

Thanks for the extra info, so it sounds like you have re-enroll set up which means that after a learner looses access to a piece of content they can repurchase it again.

If you would like the learner to retake the content item again from the beginning when they repurchase (re-enroll) it you will need to turn on the following session. (or if it is left off, when they repurchase the content they can continue from where they left off)

You will also find some information around the 34 minute mark of THIS video.

In your scenario, if the learner identifies that they cannot make the session they have enrolled in they can reschedule to another session (before the date of the session) if the following setting is enabled

Is your request to enable a learner to enroll in a second session in a content item if they didnt manage to complete the initial session before acces time expired?

Let me know what you are trying to achieve and I wil see if I can provide more information.

Kind regards

Jon
