Third Party Badge Providers & Integrations

Hello! Curious if anyone has experience connecting a third party badge/credential provider to TI to issue certificates. If so who did you use and what was the integration process like? Zapier or API?

Great question! I’m curious as well. We have PDF certificates that we have uploaded to the content/course so the learner receives it when they hit the completion criteria. However, I don’t believe these can be shared via LinkedIn or other platforms. That would be great.

Is that part of what you want to accomplish @kristinmize? So your learners can post their accomplishments?

Yep! We’ve had a number of customers integrate badging via Zapier:
https://support.thoughtindustries.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045745514-Integrating-with-Zapier Zapier has a ton of connectors but know that Credly is definitely one. Assuming they have many more.

Right now, within TI you can share certificates via LinkedIn:

However you can’t share badges (if you’re using TI’s native gamification / badging) - yet! Definitely something on our radar.

Hope this helps!

We are going through the process of linking Accredible to TI, as soon as we launch a partner training program that is linking our Customer Education and Partner Training programs together. Once that integration is complete, I can share more.

But @james.williams is right - Zapier and webhooks will be key. :-)

@RKBrodeur yes! That is our goal - we are running certification programs out of our instance and want our learners to be able to post and share their certificates primarily on LinkedIn. We are also interested in the meta data behind the certificates. We had discussions with Credly, Accredible, and Virtual Badge.io. @CloudinarySam we liked Accredible & Virtual Badge because they did not require the learners to make an account (which Credly did). I would definitely be interested in hearing how it goes for you.

@RKBrodeur we connected TI with Credly via APIs and https://www.make.com/en. It works really well!

You can find more information on how we set up the program here: https://www.celonis.com/badges/

Any idea when this is coming? Could save us some money if we don’t need to integrate with another vendor just for the social sharing.

Checking into this again….any idea @kristine.kukich on when TI might be wrapping badge sharing into the platform?

@David Jeggle the link you shared doesn’t have anything on the page...I’d love to see what you created and linked! Thanks!
