Considering using Helium for your Thought Industries Deployment?

Hi I was wondering is anybody is looking at using Helium for there Thought Industries Deployment? I have been engaged with Thought Industries as to how I may be able to use Helium to develop our Catalog and several other pages or content types, this is going to be a project that will take some time to achieve, and may even result in sticking with our current setup, and so I am keen to know if others here our considering it? and if so, how are you considering its use?

ILT - Add Virtual Meeting Page Type?

Is it possible to upload a virtual meeting page type to an ILT?We have to individually create the pre and post content for each VILT associated with our certification courses since you cannot copy a VILT.I saw you can copy and ILT though…. and if we could add a virtual meeting page time (and import the meeting from Zoom) - this will solve all my problems. Sessions will not work with our use case in VILTs…Any suggestions or best practices here?

Cognition Customer Day Agenda

Content modification History

Hello,I am reviewing some content (webinars, courses..) and I would like to see the modification history with dates and names. Does anyone know where I can see this? I could not find anything in the courses themselves, and I tried to report but the “author” field did not give me any result.I shoudl be able to go into a course and have a section where I can see when it was created, by whom and the history of all the changes that happened after that with the names.Anyone has any idea where I can see that?

Virtual Parking Lot

We need a "virtual parking lot" solution within a course. A place for learners to post questions/comments that is visible to the instructor and other learners. Needs to be in a prominent place, such as the Utilities menu on the left. Does anyone do something like this or have any ideas?(Note: We’ve considered using discussions but find that the placement isn’t prominent enough (either as a page in the course or at the bottom of the page...we really want something on the top and/or left side))TIA!

Coupons for Learning Paths?

Is it possible to assign a coupon code to a learning path? I do not see it as an option under the enrollment » ecommerce tab like I do for VILT/ILT/Webinars/Course content types. If not, how do you discount a learning path for a customer? Global coupon codes will not work - because those apply to all content in your instance (unless I am missing where you can append a specific content item)? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

How to navigate Thought Industries training course.

Do any of you already have a course you have developed for YOUR Learners when using your LMS powered by TI? Any ideas or examples you can share? We are looking to create something to explain how to navigate courses, learning paths, and the dashboard, etc.

Learning Path Reporting

In the past, we were able to pull reports that would tell us how people enrolled in content (for example, did they enter the content from a Learning Path or from the Catalog?). However, in 2021, TI made a change with how Learning Paths are provisioned that removed this ability from the reports we build. This is where we need help. Has anyone found a way to view how a person enrolled in a course? (whether from the Learning Path or Catalog)

Quiz - No need for Passing Percentage to show Pass/Fail message

In order to provide a message to learners after they have completed a quiz page, you have to provide a passing mark.Quizzes are also used for knowledge attainment, not necessarily knowledge retention. Please provide the option of showing a (concluding) message without the learners having to pass/fail a quiz.Setting the passing rate to 1% for a message to show is lowkey insulting to the learners. EDIT: THIS WAS MEANT TO BE IN “SUGGESTIONS”. I accidentally started a convo & now i have no way to delete this. Please add this capability as well jc.

New Attendance Report - How to sort by date?

On the new release email, I see that there is a new report for meeting attendance….“You can now access all of your meeting rosters in one place. Our data engineering team has created a new dashboard that combines enrollment and attendance (roster) records for all meetings, including ILT and VILT meeting types with automated and manual attendance. Use this report to pull all attendance for a single learner, a course, or a specific period of time.Find the new “Learner Attended Meetings” dashboard by visiting Reporting Hub > Library.”Am I missing where to filter this by date? It is only showing back to the start of February for me and I don’t see how to adjust the dates?

Panorama Learner Dashboard: Courses & Learning Paths

Hi All, Does anyone have any tips or tricks to help a Panorama Customer with easier navigation on their Learner Dashboard? We have created Learning Paths for the Learners. However, on the Learner’s Dashboard, they can see all of the individual courses that make up the Learning Paths. It is causing some confusion on what content they should be selecting / starting with. Any information or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

How can users view wrong answers on a test?

Is it possible for learners to see their incorrect answers on a test page type? I often hear from users when they take a test that they passed the exam but missed 3 answers and want to know what the correct answers are to those questions. I haven’t found a way to do this in settings or advanced settings of the Test page type.

What are Competencies in Ti?

I see this in Learning Path level reporting and a few other places but not sure that I know the definition of a Competency on the Ti platform. Anyone? In other LMS’s I have used, a competency was a set of Skills, which was achieved by one or more Learning Paths or other content. It was essentially just another container for content. Hopefully I am not missing something obvious. :)

Multiday Events - Learner Notifications

Hey all,We seem to be having an issue with learner notifications and multiday events. We are trying to send reminder emails out 2 weeks, 1 week, and 1 day before the start of the session. Because there are 3 meetings in this session, our attendees end up getting 9 reminder emails + confirmation + follow up. Obviously this is too many emails, so we are looking into how to cut back on the number. We use pre/post learning which means that the session start date is set way before the actual meeting because we need people to access content and information ahead of time.Has anyone found a way to set up learner notifications for a course group that send based on the first meeting date in the session?

Quiz Progress/Loading Issues

Hi everyone! I’m reaching out to see if anyone else is having this issue.We are receiving frequent complaints/issues from our users on their quiz taking experience. For many of our users, their quizzes are either freezing up on them or they are receiving pop-up error messages that require them to restart their quiz. I recognize that this is often a browser/Wi-Fi/software issue, but it is happening to users who are using updated browsers and strong Wi-Fi connections.Our quizzes are built through Ti. They range from 10 questions to 100 questions based on the course. All quizzes have 5 attempts and specific time limits. Each time the user has to restart their quiz, that wastes one of their quiz attempts, which is why we receive emails from them, so we can forgive those wasted attempts.Overall, is anyone else facing a similar issue with their users and course quizzes? I have submitted a help ticket to Ti on the topic, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the issue?

Polling and Assessment (Like Poll Everywhere)

Use Case:We have a need to run anonymous aggregate polls with participants, like Poll Everywhere, so that we can display the results in real-time for the participants and discuss the results. We also need to collect the individual responses so that we can review them for further assessment and follow-up as needed. We would like the results, or at least scores, for the participants to be collected and maintained in TI for review and reporting.The survey content type doesn’t really meet the needs stated. Does anyone have any experience with something that works with TI and meets the needs noted? Perhaps Alchemer does and is the only option for integration that will send user response data back to TI.

Course Reports - Not Showing Data

Is anyone else having issues with their course reports not populating information? I know for a fact I have learners in this course who have completed content (because I confirmed it in the reporting hub) - but when I click into the actual individual course report all tabs are showing “no results.” Before I submit another ticket just want to see if this is a me issue or if others are seeing the same thing:

Use of Custom CSS in widgets - Affecting all content even when the widget is not there?

Hello, I am trying to use a CSS code to modify a video widget in a specific dashboard layout. I used the CSS class names provided by TI. In sandbox it worked and I got the look i wanted, but once I moved the code in production I noticed that it was affecting all the videos, and I was not even used in a widget.My understandig of how we can use CSS to modify a widget is that you can create it in Design>Theme> Custom Code leave it there, and then use the classes you need in the widgets you want.I tried to use my own CSS classes (because I thought that maybe the ones provided by TI were used in TI code already) but they would not work.Am I missing something? is there anyone that had the same or similar issues with Custom Code and can suggest a solution or best practice?Thank you!Irene

Using Prerequisites

Hello,I am working on moving our professional certification pages into Ti. There is a hierarchy where some certifications require that you pass another one before being authorized to register. I have been planning to use the prerequisite feature for this. However, as I was setting up a proof of concept yesterday, I found that users can’t get to the details page at all if they don’t have the the prerequisite. I had expected that you could get to the details page but wouldn’t have the start button or something like that. This has thrown off my plan because I want everyone to be able to see the general information about the certification including the study resources, etc. I have some ideas about workarounds that I’m exploring now. But, has anyone here addressed something like this where you don’t want someone to actually have access to the content item without the prereq, but you do want to inform them of what to do to get the prereq?Thanks!!

Remove Bookmark Feature

Is there a way to remove the bookmark feature on courses? Our company uses SCORM and PPT files for courses, so the bookmark feature is not helpful to our learners. Is there a way to remove this feature from courses?
