How do you let learners know they received a certificate?

Upon completion of your course, is there a feature you use or a route you take to let the learner know that their certificate has been awarded and is not able to be accessed under the “Certificate” tab of the dashboard?

Issue Certificate WITHIN Course

Is there a way so that upon completion of a Course (in particular, we’re using “course” and “ILT” types), the certificate can be made available within the course? We don’t want learners to have to go back to the dashboard (because in many cases we’re not even using the Ti dashboard). I have 2 ideas but am open to anything else!On the final “Exit Course” screen: On the left-side navigation menu, where either it ONLY appears after cert has been earned OR that tab is always visible but it just won’t be usable/relevant/direct to a cert until the cert has been issued

Hi All -My Marketing Team is looking to expand our use of Vimeo and have looped me into the sales conversation from a training perspective. I vaguely remember a few individuals through TI Office Hours that had Vimeo experience and opinions around this video platform. Anyone willing to share their experience - good, bad, ugly? I am thrilled my Marketing Team is asking my opinion but would like to know if it's going to be a good fit for training our customers. Thank you all in advance!

Content Management

Two questions: When an existing content item is archived, the content is removed from a learner's activity history. Is there a way to make a content item not available to learners and keep the history intact for the learner who had accessed? Access to the content not necessary, just think the learner may want to have all of their history. Looking for suggestions. What are ways others use to notify learners of new or updated content?Thank you, Wayne

Remove gifting option

Hi!Has anyone been able to remove the gifting option from a specific content type or individual piece of content? We know we can’t turn it off, but I thought we could just remove that block of text possibly.If so, can you guide me in how to do this?Thank you!

CSS for Assignments (No Comments)

Good day all. We use assignments a lot to say the least. One thing we don’t care for is the view of comments just before the actual type or attach assignment. Please vote this up as we have never found a use for comments and most users complain that they just start typing only to copy paste into type assignment. Here is what it looks like by default and we want no comments ever.

Recertification Action - Add Recertify in Current Session to Learning Path

Currently Recertify in Current Session is only available for course certifications. It is not available for Learning Paths. Our certifications are at the Learning Path level. That is where we would like to see the setting for Recertify in Current Session.

Long Learning Paths

How do you build out your long learning paths? We have some that require 20+ pieces of content, so we’re looking to make them into a list view. When we do that any thumbnails are still brought into that view, which makes it still long. The only way to make this manageable is to remove the thumbnails to all the individual pieces of content, but then the beauty of that timeline view and any imagery is gone. Has anyone come up with a way of building out a loooong LP while still maintaining a visual page?

Success with Alchemer Surveys?

I’m wondering if anyone has had success integrating an Alchemer survey into a course? We can link to the survey easily enough, and the learner can take the survey. The problem is that taking the survey is a completion criteria for CE credit for the course. After completing the survey, TI does not record the course as complete in the learner record. Whether it’s an issue with what Alchemer is sending or what TI is receiving, we don’t know. We’ve tried to get help from Support and through the Development team, with no luck at all. I’d love to see if others are having success with Alchemer this way.

Is there anything that can be done when a user encounters the following message:"An embedded Page @scorm.thoughtindustries.com says A FATAL ERROR HAS OCCURED, COMMUNICATIONS HAS BEEN LOST".I’m aware that this may be an Amazon web services issue, but we’re having customers complaining about getting this message, and we don’t have an answer for them other than to wait.

Reporting on Subscriptions

I’m trying to create a report that shows which learners are associated with different subscriptions we’ve setup. While assigned subscriptions are reflected in the Access section of the learner profile, I’m having difficulty finding the associated data field in the Reporting Hub. Does anyone have suggestions or have experience building similar reports? The default Subscription Transaction Log isn’t helpful in this situation as it only reflects paid subscription purchases and not any associated with registration codes.

Do you change the names of your courses when you update them? like adding v1, v2, etc. Just trying to decide what is the best way to manage this as we make some edits.Thanks for your input!

Removing users from Admins Roles

Hello,I am using several test users to test functionalities in the platform.I assigned a dual role to one of my test accounts, and now I want to remove that dual role (So I want the test account to show into the learner bucket, not into one of the admins roles buckets).I tried choosing the “Learner” role from the drop down menu, but I get an error message.Is there a way for me to move delete the dual role feature from the account or move the account back to only be a learner and not having a dual role?Thanks

Course SCORM File Replacement + Publish Button is not showing for active users

Hey everyone! For one of our SCORM file-based courses, we noticed an error, where the wrong SCORM file from the CAM was selected for a Page. To fix this issue, we replaced the wrong SCORM file with the correct SCORM file using the red Replace File button and selecting the appropriate file from the CAM dropdown menu. Once this change was made, we clicked on the green publish button. As it is for any changes made in the Question Library, I thought this change would appear automatically for any users that were currently enrolled in the course. However, that was not the case as the current user still had the previously incorrect SCORM file showing in that course despite the replacement.Is this standard when it comes to the Replace File button, so the change is only visible to future users? I thought clicking the Publish button made any updates visible to ALL users (current and future).

Course Version for SCORM Activity

On a learner’s account from a managerial point of view, I’m under the Engagement tab and looking at the learner’s SCORM activity to decipher an issue. Can anyone confirm if the Course Version column relates to the version of the SCORM file within the CAM? In the screenshot I attached, a lot of the SCORM Activity has 1 for the Course Version, but all of those SCORM files have been updated in the CAM more than just one time, so they should be showing 2 or 3 like the one with 5 shows, right?

Interactive Courses

Hi All,Curious regarding your content you are creating for your learners. Does anyone who may have training courses on their product, do you make these courses interactive? Meaning the learner “performs the task” within your course as if they were doing so within the application or platform? If so, how are you managing this?We recently received some feedback that our learners would like hands-on, pretending to do the task. Any information or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Managing entry to webinars

Hello TI Community!I have a question related to webinar integrations.We plan to make use of various TI webinar integrations (primarily Zoom, Adobe Connect and hopefully MS Teams). One thing we are struggling with is around how to prevent the webinar links from being shared beyond our approved attendees. When someone registers and receives the event confirmation/ calendar link email from TI they contain direct links to the webinar room and theoretically these could be forwarded to other people (who aren’t approved/registered users) which would enable them to gain access to the session. Sometimes we have 500+ attendees so we can’t necessarily implement the features some webinar platforms have where you can place all attendees in a waiting room and admit them manually.Has anyone identified any workable options to manage this?Many thanks,Caroline @ Mastercard Academy

Learner Notification for Content/Learning Path

When setting up a learner notification using the type “Content/Learning Path(s)” Notification type -I want all content included from 1 specific Content Type (Online courses) - is there any way to choose all of those courses easily?Currently when we click “all content” - it is including our ILT (in-person event) learners as well, and the emails that go to online course learners do not match what our in-person learners should be getting.I’m hoping that I’m missing something obvious - Thanks for any assistance!
