Today, learners can buy content from the catalog only to find out AFTER purchase that they have not met the pre-req and therefore cannot actually consume the content they purchased. If a learner has not met a prerequisite, they should be blocked from purchasing that content. At the very least, a warning should pop up letting them know they haven’t met the prerequisite and will be blocked from accessing their purchase until they do. As TI functions today, it creates potential nightmares for customer service teams who will have to end up refunding because the user was misled into buying something they couldn’t use.
When working on a widget. You can simply add to class name, the word “hide” and the widget you are working on will not show to users.
Summary: Do you have the need to track content type consumption over time and compare? Let’s create a custom report to get this done! Requirement Overview: If any of these requirements fit your end goal, this may be the play for you. Requirement 1: Show content type consumption trend over time Requirement 2: Compare the trend against other content types Functional area to be used: Reporting > Create Core Functionality Configurations: Description: Use the How many learners have started content and not completed it? explore, to list the number of views per content type over time, then pivot on content type to create line graph. Configuration: Navigate to the Reporting > Create page (/learn/manager/reporting-hub/custom-reports). Choose the How many learners have started content and not completed it? report under the Learner Content & Progress section. Choose the fields in the below screenshot to display and filter (add other filters if required). In the screenshot we selected Content Type
I don't see any way a student can cancel themselves from an in-person class session… What do you guys do? Ask them to send you an email to be cancelled? Did you create a cancellation confirmation email for them? thanks

Hi! Apart from Bongo video assignments, is anyone else using rubrics? What solutions have you come up with for instructors to fill out rubrics and give comments to learners? Our use case is that learners deliver a presentation synchronously and we want instructors to be able to fill out rubrics and give comments afterwards, ideally without learners needing to take an action in the system (i.e., we don’t want to require them to “submit” an assignment since they already performed their assignment synchronously/outside of the platform). But if that aspect isn’t achievable, we’d consider requiring the learner to do/”submit” something if it meant the instructor could fill out a rubric for it. TIA! Gabby
Thank you to everyone who agreed to showcase their site during yesterday’s Catalog Pages & Widget Office Hours. It is always great to learn and get inspiration from what others are doing, and we certainly saw some great ideas. It was interesting to hear that some companies charge their clients for additional custom pages, most of which contain the catalog widget, this way the main catalog page can be kept clean and clear without too much content. There were also good use cases on when to hide the category view from the Left or to limit the categories by using Curated Categories. We love seeing and hearing these ideas! Have you segmented your Catalog page or widget in a specific way to achieve a required use case? I am sure others would love to hear what you have done. Post your ideas and even a screenshot in a post below so we can create a library of ideas and suggestions!
I like the Example 1 and would like to implement it, but when I do, the text of the pages in the menu gets even smaller and is hard to read. How do I change the page titles to a bigger size in the menu bar?

I have a certificate that is loaded in the CAM, and attached to several courses and learning paths. I have one student in particular that has completed the learning path, she sees her certificate in the student progress widget. When she clicks on “View Certificate” the screen flashes and returns her to her student dashboard. She doesn’t see the certificate. When I impersonate her, I cannot get to the certificate either. However, if I enter as another student, there is no problem - I see the certificate just fine. I have tried re-importing the certificate in the CAM, re-assigning the certificate in the learning path. and no luck… Any thoughts?
For those of you in the software space - is anyone using Pendo to link to TI training? Asking for a friend 😎
For anyone else using the Salesforce Managed Package to sync between Ti and Salesforce, we are seeing that learners that are made on Ti, Ti is trying to sync those learners to contacts that don’t exist in Salesforce. I’m curious if anyone else is dealing with this and what your solution is? Our CRM team doesn’t want to manage the false users constantly after every sync. How is everyone else managing it?
We have a Learning path which contains over 200 e-learning modules. We’d like to open the training up for an entire panorama of learners, if they pay at a certain level. What is the Best way to manage this, taking into consideration that we need to: Expire access in 1 year after payment Track (report on) every learner who has started taking even just 1 e-learning during that payment year (noting that they may have access in a prior year, so reporting on Learning Path Progress isn’t helpful) NOT use Redemption or Registration codes We’ve been thinking about using a sub-license to make it easy for expiration, but we would have to do a bulk upload to start out and no one else in the pano could access the training, unless they would know to message us to be put in the sub-license. That’s more work for both us and the customer. Plus, you can’t report on sub-licenses by themselves.
How are badges ordered on the dashboard widget? I can’t find any correlation between front end and back end.
Hello, I’m looking for a solution to create custom pages that will be visible and available only for users from the specific panorama. If there is the way to do it? Maybe using the coding? I checked the TI articles and there is the information that we can enable separate branding for Panorama but then we can customize just the learner dashboard and home page. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you, Alena
I was able to replace a previous version of our certificate of completion, however, 2 labels are not pulling over: degree(s) and completion date Here is the template (I know name is not centered yet): When viewing the certificate from a test account: Settings > Certifications: Learner reference 1
